Byju`s: A Leader in EdTech

Byju’s was founded in 2008 by Raveendran, a teacher-turned-entrepreneur, and his wife Divya Gokulnathin (Gokulnathin) in Kannur district of the southern Indian state of Kerala. Raveendran, an engineering graduate, started his career in 2003 as a service engineer in the UK with a shipping firm Pan Ocean Shipping Ltd. During a visit to India, Raveendran accidentally ventured into teaching after his friends asked him to help them with preparing for the Common Admission Test (CAT). “They came to me for help in CAT because they knew me as someone who’s good in cheating in exams.
